What’s Going On at the Airports This Year?
Long airport lines can do more than test your patience. They can put tight connections at risk and take valuable time away from your trip. Europe’s new digital Entry Exit System, known as EES, is also changing the arrival process for many international travelers.
The system requires travelers with passports from outside the European Union to register biometric information when entering and leaving the Schengen Area. As airports adjust to the additional screening, some travelers may encounter longer waits at immigration and more crowded arrival halls, particularly during the busy summer season.
That does not mean you have to navigate it all on your own. I can arrange VIP airport assistance to guide you through immigration, baggage collection, terminal changes, and connecting flights, while also recommending flight schedules and ticketing options that allow more time for connections and limit unnecessary airport changes. A little planning before departure can help protect your vacation time once you arrive.
